When Adelaide's weather decides to drop more than 10 degrees in 24
hours in the middle of summer, it leaves a more traditional summery outfit
somewhat, inappropriate. I'll wear jeans over shorts any day and a colder
forecast lets me experiment with layering that I thrive on in the winter. My
sleeveless turtleneck by The Fifth lets me use winter statements and make it
work for the warmer weather. Sleeveless also allows for light layering that’s
weather appropriate. Although it’s not a surprise that I’ve decided to wear
black again in the middle of summer, an oversized light denim wash jacket and
accent of a red bandana around my neck breaks up the outfit. A light denim wash
screams summer for me and the distressed finish of my oversized jacket lets me
keep with my grunge staple that defines my style and personality. So if you
want to layer for the warmer weather keep it light and make the weather app
your best friend.
